Price of a paragliding harness : how much does flying equipment cost ?
The price of a paragliding harness can vary on average between 300 and 2500 euros for the most technical models. Before talking price, it's important to take into account the type of flying the pilot will be doing. Once this has been determined, the choice of harness will become more refined, and with it, harness prices.
COST OF A PARAGLIDING HARNESS : WHAT INFLUENCES THE PRICE ?
There are two main factors that influence the price of a paragliding harness.
How does the choice of brand influence the price of a paragliding harness ?
As in all markets, paragliding brands adopt different marketing strategies. You'll find high-end brands with a more expensive sales policy than more accessible brands, but with harnesses that focus more on the essentials. Another factor is where the brand is manufactured. For example, a brand like Neo, which is manufactured in France, or Dudek or Sky paraglider, whose production plants are located in Europe, will have higher production costs than brands manufactured in Asia. As a result, these brands stand out for the technical quality of their harnesses.
Do different types of paragliding harness influence the price of a paragliding harness ?
It's obvious that a string harness weighing just a few hundred grams and intended for paragliding rando pilots, and requiring just a few hours to manufacture, will cost much less than a classic harness for free-flight pilots. This difference will be even more marked with highly technical products such as cross-country cocoons, which will require hours of sewing and more raw materials.
