So, you've booked your first paragliding flight with Air et Aventure, the FFVL-approved paragliding school, and you're wondering what's going to happen ? Well, don't panic! We've put together a quick summary of the steps involved, so you can get all your questions answered before you come and join us for a magical tandem paragliding flight !

WELCOME AND EXPLANATION OF YOUR PARAGLIDING TANDEM FLIGHT

First step : when you arrive at the Lumbin landing, your qualified instructor will welcome you in our store just opposite the parking lot where you will be parked. After a short briefing at reception to confirm that you're dressed correctly, you board our shuttle bus. You're off on a twenty-minute journey to the take-off area at Saint-Hilaire-du-Touvet, one of the most beautiful sites in the world for aerial sports and the birthplace of the Coupe Icare.

PREPARING YOUR EQUIPMENT FOR YOUR PARAGLIDING TANDEM FLIGHT

Once you're on the launch site, your paragliding instructor will start to prepare you by putting you in your passenger harness. After checking that all attachment loops are closed, the instructor deploys the wing on the ground, untangles its lines and finally settles you into your pilot harness. Finally, your instructor attaches you to him and to the wing.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND PREPARATION FOR YOUR FIRST PARAGLIDING TANDEM FLIGHT

As you prepare your paragliding equipment for your first flight, your instructor will take a few moments to explain the flight sequence, from take-off to landing. He'll explain that he'll need you for take-off, and will also give you the safety instructions to be followed throughout the flight.

Once all the crew and equipment have been prepared and instructions given, you're ready to take off and discover the thrill of free flight!

THE STEPS DURING A PARAGLIDING TANDEM FLIGHT

Once you've taken off and are airborne, your pilot will seat you comfortably in the harness so that you can enjoy the pleasure of flying to the full. After a few passes close to the cliffs and the Oule waterfall, depending on your chosen flight, your instructor may let you try your hand at piloting if you feel comfortable. He can also take a moment in the air to explain some of the key factors involved in paragliding, including weather conditions and the phenomenon of thermal lift.

For thrill-seekers and extreme sports enthusiasts, you can ask your experienced pilot to try out a few acrobatics and aerobatics. No matter what type of paragliding experience you choose, your instructor will adapt to your requests to ensure you have an unforgettable experience!

Finally, after a few minutes of lightness and the pleasure of flying like a bird, it's time to return to the ground. Shortly before this step, your pilot will give you instructions to ensure a smooth landing.

Once on the ground, you'll catch your breath in peace. Then it's time for your instructors to untie you and stow your equipment.

Finally, we'll return to our starting point, the store, to show you your photos and videos of your first flight, for those who want to relive those unforgettable moments! Don't forget your USB stick or SD card to take the images and video of your paragliding fly with you.
