Tired of spending your time in shuttle buses? The Thermal Perf paragliding course will teach you how to fly longer ! The aim of this course is to discover the phenomena of thermals and how to exploit them to increase the duration of your flights. This course is aimed at paragliders who already have a good level of autonomy and want to enjoy longer flights. What's more, our paragliding school, Air et Aventure Académie, is located on an exceptional learning site. Indeed, Saint-Hilaire du Touvet has long been renowned beyond national borders.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PERF THERMIQUE COURSE
The aim of the Thermal Perf course is to take pilots who already have some flying experience on to longer flights. Although practice will be at the heart of this week of paragliding, theory will not be forgotten. Understanding thermal aerology will be one of the keys to accelerating your progress. A good analysis of the conditions will enable you to choose a site and a flight schedule where thermals are exploitable at your level.
Would you like to learn how to “roll” thermals? The course includes practical exercises to develop your piloting technique. The aim is to make as many flights as possible to help you progress.
In short, here are the objectives you'll achieve during your thermal perf course :
Understand thermal aerology
Choose sites and flight times to find thermals suited to your level.
Develop your piloting skills to exploit thermals
Learn how to wallow.

PARAGLIDING COURSE PROGRAM
The thermal perf course consists of :
A 1/2-day assessment of your flying and theoretical skills.
Piloting exercises adapted to thermals.
Lessons on flying technique.
Depending on weather conditions, flying for as long as possible.
To register for this course, you need to have
An initial pilot's license
Autonomy for take-off and landing.
Basic piloting skills to control the wing on the roll and pitch axis.
Our priority is to help you progress safely. This course is therefore aimed at people wishing to make their first duration flights. During the course, we won't hesitate to go out of our way to find the best possible flight sequences.
Nb: Paragliding is an aerial sport subject to the vagaries of the weather. The content may change according to weather conditions and the level of participants.

Making your flights last is the goal of many pilots ! It also means learning to fly in turbulent aerological conditions. That's why we've based our teaching on progressiveness and the validation of stages to learn how to have fun without scaring yourself.
