There's nothing like a nice walk in the mountains to clear the mind, discover magnificent scenery or challenge yourself. However, while the ascent can sometimes prove difficult, the descent is extremely hard on the joints, especially the knees. Why not fly back down
Are you a traileur, mountaineer or hiker ? Then our introductory course in single-skin paragliding is for you!
Single skin paragliders are primarily designed for mountain flying. Much more accessible than a conventional paraglider, it stands out for its reduced weight and volume, as well as its very special design. You can set off to conquer any mountain, as your equipment fits into a small rucksack. Enjoy the summit, then fly back down.
INFORMATION 2024 : This course is now combined with the “classic” beginner course.
The objective of an introductory course in monosurface paragliding is the same as that of a classic introductory course. Both take place in the same time slot, and students in both groups learn side by side. You'll need to validate several points with the instructors to ensure a good understanding of paragliding.
First of all, the primary objective is to acquire the basic movements required for a successful take-off. Thanks to practical exercises and theory, you'll quickly be able to negotiate a paragliding take-off.
The second objective is to put a pre-established flight plan into practice. Indeed, it's essential that you can follow an itinerary that depends on wind conditions. You're not alone: an instructor will guide you at all times by radio.
What's more, an beginner paragliding course teaches students the basics of aerology. Don't worry, there's no exam at the end of the week, but this knowledge will stay with you for the rest of your paragliding life.
Finally, once you've acquired all the previous points, the ultimate objective of this introductory paragliding course is to make your first big solo flights, as well as a real-world experience of walking and flying. Accompanied by a mountain guide, your group will set off on a hike, followed by a long solo flight.
