FLY SAFE Annecy Parapente will help you strengthen your ability to handle emergency situations safely, under the supervision of experienced instructors. These courses will provide you with the opportunity to improve your mastery of paragliding in various flying conditions and gain confidence through a professional and secure approach.

WHAT IS THE SIV COURSE ?

The SIV course (Safety and Introduction to Acrobatic Flights) is a specialized paragliding training designed to help pilots better understand and manage their wing in extreme flying situations. During this course, participants learn to perform technical maneuvers like stalls, wing closures, and rotations, with a strong emphasis on safety.

The goal is to improve control in turbulent conditions, better manage emergency situations, and gain confidence through practical exercises performed under the supervision of experienced instructors.

THE COURSE STRUCTURE OF THE SIV

The course begins with a mandatory meeting the evening before at the Camping Le Polé in Lathuile, where a welcome session is organized for the students. A briefing is held to define everyone's expectations, check the equipment (reserve parachute, etc.), and distribute the necessary safety gear (radios, headsets, life jackets).

On flying days, after a theoretical explanation, you will practice the exercises over the lake, guided by a communication system with an instructor present in a safety boat. The starter Paul will be there to remind you of the exercises at takeoff and answer your questions. All flights will be filmed, and a daily video debriefing will take place in the classroom to analyze your maneuvers and improve your skills.
