Radios and Communications
Why Use a Paragliding Radio?
Radios are an indispensable tool for communication in paragliding. They can also be a vital safety tool in case of mobile network failure in mountainous areas, allowing for quick and effective communication with emergency services if needed!

How to Unlock Your Paragliding Radio?
In paragliding, and the free flight community generally, we typically use VHF radios. This is due to the range of these devices' frequencies and their relative compactness, allowing them to be easily carried in a pocket, on your harness straps, or attached to your cockpit.
Here you will find high-quality radios at competitive prices. All paragliding radios sold by Air et Aventure are either unlocked or come with instructions to unlock channels from 136 to 174 MHz.
Aviation Radios
The transmission and reception band of aviation radios is from 118 to 136 MHz
Approved Aviation Radios
Here you will find approved radios that allow you to communicate safely with control towers at airfields or airports. These radios can be either built-in or portable (such as the Icom ICA 25 CE).
Non-Approved Aviation Radios
You will also find non-approved aviation radios for ground use. Some of these radios can also be used as emergency radios in flight. Some, like the CRT 4CF, allow reception but not transmission on the aviation band.
Radio Accessories
Our range of radio accessories is extensive to cover all your needs. These tools are very practical for clear frequency transmission or facilitating access to the PTT button.
Remote Microphones
They are generally used to facilitate listening and access to the PTT.
Headsets
These come with a remote PTT. These earphones can be attached inside the helmet or inserted into the ear like a regular earphone.
Throat Microphones
Throat microphones convert vibrations from the larynx and vocal cords into sound. This greatly reduces interference during communications.
Antennas
An essential accessory for good radio communication, the antenna improves reception. Ensure the antenna is compatible with your device.
Cases and Holsters
These small pockets help secure your radio to the harness or the necessary support for proper radio use.
Batteries and Chargers
Here you will find everything needed to power your radio.
Which Instruments to Use in Paragliding?
We have selected a range of products for paragliding pilots, kite surfers, sailors, and more. Our instruments cater to both leisure practitioners and professionals.
Altimeters
These small instruments, generally for beginner pilots, provide information on climb rate, the altimetric profile of a paragliding flight, and flight time. Coupled with a variometer, they help detect and optimize thermal climbs.
GPS
The GPS devices we sell are complete tools also functioning as altimeters and variometers. They provide positioning information, wind strength and direction, and some models offer detailed data such as distance to goal, glide ratio, and altitude at the endpoint. For more advanced instruments, you can choose paragliding GPS with live tracking systems.
Anemometers
We have selected a range of sports anemometers for leisure users, as well as professional anemometers that measure wind or breeze speed with great precision. You can also buy replacement propellers and other accessories related to these measuring devices.
Weather Stations
Check out our weather stations for both leisure and professional use. These tools provide real-time wind speed and direction, actual and perceived temperature, humidity level via hygrometers, and more for the most advanced devices.
Flow Meters
Here is our selection of professional flow meters to measure water flow at various depths, from a few liters per hour to several cubic meters per hour.
