The Permair protection from NEO is removable and integrates Skywalk's Permair technology. This protection is inflatable and designed for the String 3.0, StringPack 2.0 and Shorty harnesses from NEO.

The Permair system, recognized as the most advanced technology in inflatable protections, benefits from a partnership between NEO and Skywalk to be integrated into harnesses with removable protections. With a thickness of 22 cm, the Permair protection ensures optimal safety, regardless of atmospheric pressure variations during flight.
During EN tests, the Permair achieved a remarkable performance with a result of 38.8G. Even at 60% inflation, it guarantees excellent shock absorption. The latest generation of Permair protections is equipped with a practical control valve, simplifying the inflation and deflation process.
Moreover, it is not necessary to reinflate the protection before each takeoff. If you don't have to compress it into a narrow carrying bag, you can leave it inflated between uses, making it even more convenient for daily use.
The Permair 2.0 protections offer several inflation options to suit your needs. In addition to the traditional method using the inflation bag and its compression function, it is now possible to opt for a minimalist inflation using the mouthpiece included in the Permair kit. This mouthpiece is equipped with a moisture filter to limit the introduction of moisture into the protection.
The inflation bag has a capacity of approximately 40 liters and allows for efficient filling of the protection via air transfer. For optimal inflation, the bag must be correctly connected, with its opening facing upwards, without twists or folds, and attached to the Permair mouthpiece.
When using the mouthpiece, it is essential that the HME filter (small blue sponge) is in place inside. For hygiene reasons, the mouthpiece should be replaced every two years or as soon as signs of mold appear.
The NEO Permair inflatable removable protection system is designed to fit the String range from NEO, including the String 3.0 and Stringpack 2.0 models.
For this range of minimalist harnesses, NEO chose to integrate an inflatable protection, believing that traditional removable airbags no longer meet current safety requirements compared to modern technologies such as Koroyd or Permair.
The Permair technology by Skywalk is used for the removable protections of harnesses with leg straps. However, for traditional ABS harnesses or those with a bucket seat, NEO prefers the Koroyd technology, which is better suited to these configurations.
The NEO Permair protection is available in one size, making it compatible with all pilot sizes.
