The Camino 2 introduces Wave leading edge technology to the lightweight sport class. Inspired by the tubercles of the humpback whale, this technology, developed in the "GIN LAB" in collaboration with the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology in South Korea, delays the point of separation, increasing performance at high angles of attack. This translates into greater glide ratio at low speeds and a more gradual, delayed stall.
Thanks to its characteristic profile and lightweight construction, the Camino 2 offers simple inflation and easy take-off in all wind conditions. It sits comfortably overhead even in light breezes, offering a significant advantage on tricky take-offs.
The combination of its aerodynamic profile and lightweight construction makes the Camino 2 a wing that provides precise information while remaining well balanced, giving you superior climbing capabilities. Wave Leading Edge technology facilitates low-speed performance and control, helping you to position yourself efficiently in the best lift.
What's more, the Camino 2 transmits consistent information through the brakes and canopy, facilitating not only thermalling but also the search for ascending lines. With true control from the rear risers, this wing can be flown with great finesse, requiring only gentle guidance.
The pitch stability of its aerodynamic profile and thereduced inertia due to the light fabric enable efficient gliding on the speedbar, leaving you free to concentrate on finding the next lift. The wing accelerates quickly and the speed bar travel is relatively long, offering a high maximum speed.
Small-diameter Nitinol rods maintain the profile shape in flight and, combined with lightweight materials, enable very compact folding and packing. The Camino 2 can be packed in the Gin Concertina Compress bag and the Genie x-lite cocoon harness in our 80L x-lite rucksack, for a total weight of around 10 kg.
