The best wing for paragliding beginners
An accessible wing with reassuring, intuitive handling that helps you progress, gain experience, knowledge and the confidence to enjoy the pleasure of flying.
A comfortable and easy wing
Its "muffled" behavior guarantees ease and smoothness: light on inflation, easy and balanced in the air, smooth on landing, with precise control for the pilot, who can thus progress efficiently through the various learning phases.
Technology for safety
At Niviuk, we take advantage of our latest developments and technologies to create a wing offering the highest possible passive safety. Concentrate on your progress and let the Koyot 4 do the work for you.
The new wing for magnificent beginnings
The latest generation of Koyot offers you the best assets for the learning and progress phases. A highly accessible and efficient wing, thanks to intuitive handling and responsiveness that facilitates adapted pilot control, whatever the situation. The wing is designed to give the pilot confidence as he progresses, and to achieve his goals quickly and safely.
Passive safety is the result of the wing's new, optimized design, which focuses above all on ensuring stability in all phases of flight. It's a very easy glider to fly, with more progressive control responses than the Koyot3. As a result, after all the maneuvers tested under the EN standard, the wing resumes its flight, stabilizes quickly and continues its flight.
The Koyot 4 is also more comfortable in turbulent conditions, where it offers great stability and unprecedented upwind penetration at this level of accessibility.
The use of Nitinol (TNT) ribs in the profile - in place of the usual nylon ribs - considerably increases flexibility and tension, and gives the profile shape memory over the entire life of the wing. The nitinol technology used in all Niviuk wings helps the Koyot 4 to inflate more gradually and evenly, making take-off easier. This combination of durable materials increases the lifespan of the wing and offers an excellent solution for those wings put to the test during the learning phases.
Its leading edge features a structured design (SLE technology), additional stitching on the span axis (3DL technology) and ideal tension without deformation, based on the 3DP technology used in our competition wings. As a result, the Koyot 4 offers an additional gain in performance and balance compared to other wings in its class, giving pilots the opportunity to progress in the activity in an adapted and reassuring way.
The internal structure has also been rethought and optimized. The ribs and diagonals have been cleverly distributed, and the attachment points have been strengthened to direct stress for better load distribution. A more aerodynamic trailing edge results in less drag than its predecessor, an essential factor for better airflow around the profile. The application of RAM Air Intake (RAM) technology contributes to improved flow and optimizes the glider's internal pressure to better absorb turbulence. These innovations enable the Koyot 4 to significantly improve safety, stability and control.
The line layout has been simplified, with a reduction of over 30% in the total number of lines (from 214 to 148) and 20% in length (291 m to 236 m in size 26). This improvement is based on a new, optimized distribution of lines and a more elaborate construction based on the use of diagonal strips. The two levels of lines facilitate wing preparation, pre-flight checks and visual inspection during inflation.
The increase in the number of cell openings (from 36 to 39) makes the wing stronger and more compact, resulting in a cleaner, tighter wing. In this way, the performance of the Koyot 4 has been significantly improved, enabling the pilot to enjoy the flight in comfort.
The aspect ratio has been reduced from 4.95 to 4.75 compared with the previous generation, which has also improved compactness and made the wing even more stable.
Another advantage of the Koyot 4 is that it has an efficient and stable speed-bar, enabling the pilot to explore different flight regimes. The long control travel also makes it safe to fly at low speeds, which is both useful and efficient.
In short, the Koyot 4 gives pilots the confidence they need to progress serenely, enabling them to discover and master all the basics of piloting. Its docile character guarantees smooth, adapted progress, leading the new pilot to a wide range of flying possibilities, including first cross-country flights
