Description

Boléro 7: Safer, more fun

The Boléro 7 marks a turning point for the Gin brand, incorporating all the latest advances from the R&D department. It's a wing that's both more forgiving of pilot error and a lot more funin the air. It's the ideal glider for a pilot's first few years. It will take you from inflation to first thermals.

Balance and safety of the Boléro 7

Safety is paramount for a beginner wing. That's why the Boléro 7 is probably the most stable wing on the market in terms of pitch and roll. This stability is partly due to the 3rd generation EPT (Equalized Pressure Technology) intake system. This technology further stabilizes the wing's internal pressure, improving pitch stability and aerodynamic efficiency.

On take-off, the wing stabilizes immediately above the pilot, and take-off occurs very early at low speed. What's more, the wing automatically corrects itself in small directional bursts on take-off, and detects thermals in the air.

Once airborne, the full braking range is very long. For novice pilots, this means much moreforgiveness in the event of uncontrolled gestures. During thermal climb phases, it offers pitch corrections without pilot intervention. Pilots can therefore concentrate fully on their flying.

Handling and maneuverability

The Boléro 7 has more curvature towards the wingtips and a straighter trailing edge, for more efficient turning. The Gin teams have also worked on optimizing the arc. This prevents a pilot from accidentally entering a spiral dive during thermalling. The brake travel is very progressive, with only a small amount of brake required to turn the wing. However, pressure builds up rapidly and it is almost impossible to enter a stall inadvertently. Around the stall point, the wing recovers easily by releasing the brakes

The Boléro 7 is nevertheless great fun to fly. Tight flat turns are possible, and it's easy and intuitive to vary the bank angle. The subtlety of the brake allows the pilot to progress rapidly.

Practical, robust design

This EN A from Gin uses custom Myungjin fabric on the upper surface. It has been specifically developed for greater durability and resistance to porosity. This fabric has proved its worth on the Fuse 3 tandem wing, which has flown thousands of hours worldwide. Other fabrics are used strategically throughout the wing.

Finally, the new layout of the lines makes them easier to inspect. As a result, they are less prone to tangles.
