Taking it a step further on his YouTube channel, he made his flight debriefs public, prompting a deeper analysis of the Chabre region in France. This led to a genuine reflection on the reasons behind various flight occurrences. As a result, Karlis decided to create a challenge for the local site where he resides.
In early 2022, Karlis developed the Chabre Challenge, a detailed guide for a 100 km flight from Chabre. This comprehensive 24-page PDF document was made available to participants who signed up for his email list (still accessible). The guide received a highly positive response from the pilot community, with pilots appreciating the quality of the content. Throughout the season, an increasing number of pilots expressed interest in additional tasks aligned with the Chabre Challenge concept.
