Sky Paragliders ' Gii 5 is the new comfortable universal harness with integrated airbag back protection. It has been created for all pilots who prefer to make their equipment safe, simple and light.
The Gii 5 is ideal for Hike & Fly, travel, pleasant daily flights and ground handling simply because of its lightness and compactness. A complete redesign of the seat has improved leg support, balance and roll stability.
The redesigned strap system improves comfort and makes it easier to get in and out of the flying position. Sit down by bringing your knees up and prepare for a landing by stretching your legs. Super-easy adjustment of shoulder, side and chest straps, even in flight.
The Gii 5 combines ease of installation and use, the highest possible passive safety, excellent roll stability and comfort. The harness has everything you need, allowing the use of durable materials while keeping the weight on the bottom. Valuable additions such as side pockets (large ones on the left side and smaller ones on the right), a removable radio pocket on the left shoulder strap and a Camelbak compartment on the rear further enhance the Gii 5 's suitability as a lightweight daily hiker & Fly and/or XC-harness. The new Safe-T chest buckle is reliable and easy to control. The chest buckle is connected to the left leg strap and prevents the pilot from falling out of the harness should he inadvertently forget to close the leg straps. The rear pocket is also inflated, providing an extended airbag and a perfect harness shape in flight.
The Sky Safety Strap-System (4S) has been designed for maximum safety with a single-buckle layout. This system guarantees optimum safety for pilots in flight. The Gii 5 is equipped with an effective EN-certified airbag. The airbag' s effectiveness remains the same whether tested with or without a reserve in the reserve pocket. What's more, the airbag was tested without pre-inflation, and proved highly effective immediately after take-off. The Gii 5 is very light, weighing just 2.6 kg in size S, making it easy to carry. Its compactness is also an advantage for transport and storage. The Gii 5 features a new strap geometry for simpler adjustment, making it easier to adjust the straps for optimum comfort in flight. The geometry of the Gii 5 has been revised to make the harness easier to put on after take-off, and to improve pilot comfort and return. The reserve parachute pocket under the seat lowers the center of gravity and improves stability. The rescue handle on the Gii 5 is reinforced with Nitinol wire to prevent deformation, ensuring easy deployment if necessary.
