Discover the five peaks of high pendulum stability with Pentagon
The Pentagon is a self-stabilizing device with a unique pentagonal shape. This specific shape guarantees exceptional pendulum stability, making it an ideal choice for applications requiring high precision of movement. When the Pentagon is subjected to a pendulum impulse on one of its vertices, a pendulum movement is generated in the opposite direction, ensuring high stability. What's more, the right side of the Pentagon is designed to have a very different airflow, which dampens the dreaded oscillation and guarantees excellent pendulum stability. The Pentagon 's sink rate is also remarkably low. When the Pentagon120 was certified at maximum load, the sink rate was measured at just 5.2 m/s. This feature is particularly interesting for applications where a slow, controlled fall is required. In short, with its self-stabilizing pentagonal shape and exceptionally low sink rate, the Pentagon is an ideal solution for applications requiring high pendulum stability and a slow, controlled fall.
The Pentagon rescue parachute: quick and easy to open
The Pentagon rescue parachute is designed to open quickly and reliably, thanks to its five opening slots. These five openings provide additional aeration, ensuring faster and more reliable opening than conventional rescue parachutes. This feature is crucial close to the ground, as it considerably reduces the risk of the rescue getting caught in the glider's lines before it has even opened. In addition to its ability to open quickly, the Pentagon is easy to pack thanks to the constant length of its base and intermediate lines. All lines are equally spaced and color-marked to avoid confusion when folding. The risk of packing error is therefore virtually non-existent. Investing in a Pentagon rescue parachute means you can be confident of its reliability in an emergency. Its innovative design means it can be opened quickly and safely, and packed easily and efficiently.
The PENTAGON: expertly developed in collaboration with High Adventure
The Pentagon was designed with the help of High Adventure's renowned expertUrs Haari, who has experience of over 300 above-ground activations with various rescue parachutes. Throughout the development of the PENTAGON, Urs carried out rigorous tests, focusing in particular on tests with a tethered paraglider, a scenario that occurs far more often than the case of certification with a detached paraglider. In addition to practical tests, airflow simulations were carried out with various concepts. In the end, the PENTAGON proved to be the best variant, thanks to Urs' expertise and extensive testing at every stage of the development process.
Discover the Pentagon: a reliable, high-performance rescue parachute
The Pentagon is an exceptional rescue parachute that passed both EN sink rate tests, including water landing, with a single test sample. It is one of the few rescue parachutes to have achieved this result, making it a top choice for safety-conscious skydivers. During an SIV course, after a ditching, paragliders no longer need to worry about the reliability of their reserve parachute. This is thanks to Edelrid 's top-quality lines and Porcher Sport fabric, which are renowned for their exceptional water resistance. Indeed, even in prolonged contact with water, these materials retain their properties and effectiveness.
