Progression wing to move up a gear
The Evora from Gin Gliders is an EN B-ratedparaglider aimed at pilots who want to trade in their beginner wings for higher-performance gliders. It's a wing that always remains supple and smooth, even when conditions get rough.

Evora Gin Gliders : Progress in paragliding
The Evora is aparaglider whose design and piloting have been thought out to accompany novice paragliders towards longer flights and more dynamic piloting. It is also suitable for experienced recreational pilots, who will appreciate the Evora's unique qualities.
Flying the Gin Evora
The Evora is a paraglider characterized by high pitch stability. This ensures easy, precise take-offs with excellent handling. It retains this stability in the air for highly efficient glides. Less experienced pilots or those looking for confidence can learn to accelerate at their own pace and with complete peace of mind. But the Evora's aim is to take you higher and higher.
This EN B is both smooth and balanced in corners. Indeed, it's much easier to center the cores of thermals, since your wing has a natural tendency to remain stable. Winding the thermal will be a real pleasure. In pure piloting, theEvora strikes a perfect balance between tolerance to over-enthusiastic braking, and responsiveness to more subtle inputs, for example when you want to change the angle of bank in a turn. It will forgive the over-enthusiastic actions of seasoned riders.
Evora: designed for progress
The latest progression wing has a new, optimized planform, enabling it to perform relatively flat, efficient turns. Thanks to a clever mix of sheathed and unsheathed lines with carefully optimized diameters, it makes piloting much easier. An optional SMART RISER riser can be added when you feel ready. The riser comes with a Harken control bar and pulley for even smoother operation.
For added strength and durability, mini-ribs sewn into the wing ensure that the trailing edge remains aerodynamic. This prevents the outer seams from tearing during more demanding take-offs. The ripstop reinforcements have also been removed to avoid any potential delamination problems. Myungjin semi-lightweight fabrics also offer high resistance to porosity.
Evora designer's opinion
Designer Torsten Siegel explains the development of the Evora:
"With the Evora, we spent a lot of time optimizing the planform and line concept for more efficient thermal management and better balanced turns. We wanted a wing that wasn't too demanding for relatively inexperienced pilots, while offering more than adequate performance for the category - and still being great fun to fly!
It wasn't an easy brief, but we think we've succeeded! It's a wing that really bridges the gap between progression sails and higher-performance B-sails like the Explorer series. Development took place on several continents with pilots of different levels, and the feedback was remarkably consistent: the Evora is a smooth, well-balanced wing, with very good handling and very respectable overall performance".
