The Grasshopper Mk2 is LittleCloud's cocoon harness. A worthy heir to the previous version, it is characterized by its strong character, while ensuring pilot comfort and safety.
As with the first version, lightness is the result of Smart Design rather than the use of lightweight materials. The whole package weighs just 2.8kg in size L, including approved inflatable protection and rescue container in size L. Indeed, this harness still lacks automatic buckle fasteners. A container is fitted to the chest strap, and the rescue risers are attached directly to it. This system allows harnessing in 2 actions, including the rescue. It's also very difficult to forget to fasten the rescue hanging down your legs until you're properly harnessed. The ventral container has an opening on the top, via 6 needles. This reduces the opening travel and the risk of accidental opening!
The use of fairly dense foam provides exceptional hold and comfort for such a light harness. Comfort on long flights is incredible, thanks in particular to the 3D back. The inflatable protection offers very good results in terms of damping (35G), as well as compact folding. It inflates in just a few exhalations.
The harness offers plenty of storage space, in its rear pocket, its subcutaneous container and, of course, the 2 large side pockets found on the previous model.
Months of testing in the demanding conditions of Brazil have shown that no sacrifice has been made to the strength and durability of the materials used. The geometry of the harness is neutral, responding to your inputs without amplifying or dampening them. This makes its behavior truly precise, safe and reassuring.
The addition of the fairing (tail profiling) gives the harness greater finesse without any trade-offs. Quick inflation thanks to 2 side scoops.
This harness is approved to EN 1651/EN 12491.
