The Kortel drag chute is the largest drag chute available on the market today. It offers greater efficiency in rapid descent maneuvers. It stands out from the competition thanks to its projected surface area of 1.6m² and its diameter of around 145cm.
What's more, it has two power positions. This makes it possible to handle several planes of finesse in a straight line, so as to manage the proximity of an overhead surface or ceiling while continuing to run.
An exclusive hollow swivel limits the effects of any rotation and maintains good sink and recovery characteristics, even after prolonged use.
Specially developed for the Kanibal Race 2 harness, with its central attachment, it weighs just 470 g. This attachment improves feel once the drag chute is deployed, stabilizing the harness on the yaw and avoiding the jolts generated by a link attachment.
As an indication, at 4G, we achieved a fall rate of 12m/s without the drag-chute, and 20m/s with it deployed. It therefore offers a significant gain without having to support more G.
