Choosing your paraglider

Whether you're looking for performance or comfort in flight, your choice of paraglider must be adapted to your needs. Your future wing or glider will form the keystone of your equipment, as it will define your flying and your progress. Choosing the right wing means taking several criteria into account, the first of which iscertification. Rated from EN A to EN D, your wing's certification will differ according to your level of flying. Beginner pilots should opt for a more permissive EN A rating, while more experienced pilots may choose an EN B glider with better performance but sensitive handling.

Once you've decided on the type of paragliding and paramotor you'd like to use, you'll need to select awing size based on your T.F.W. ( Total Flying Weight). Depending on where you are in the weight range, you'll experience different sensations in flight, and the speed at which the wing wears down. For example, at the top of the range, you're guaranteed a much better speed and more pleasant flying experience, but also faster wear than at the bottom.

Which paragliding harness to choose?

As the guarantor of your safety and comfort in flight, the choice of your future paragliding harness is not to be taken lightly. In fact, your choice should be based on your flying style, from a simple splash to a cross-country flight lasting several hours. You'll find both ultra-light "string" harnesses for high-mountain launches and performance-oriented cocoon harnesses, ideal for long-distance flights!

Keep safety and weight in mind. There are several types of subcutaneous protection available in the event of ground impact. Each of these solutions will have an impact on the total weight of your harness and therefore of your equipment. There are harnesses with airbags, removable or not, or with protective foams.

Choosing a reserve parachute in my custom paragliding package

The reserve par achute is the piece of equipment that can save your life in the event of an in-flight incident or uncontrolled collapse. Although not compulsory, a reserve system is strongly recommended for your flying activities. Its purpose is to supplement your glider if it is no longer able to support you. We expect it to be quick and easy to remove and open. Indeed, it must be accessible in any situation. In addition, the fall rate of the rescue and its pendulum stability are other important factors to consider. The shape of the parachute and the pilot 's position within the weight range can also have an impact on its capacity.
