Skywalk Cruise: the new beginner harness
Skywalk's Cruise harness is the brand-new school harness. It's aimed at beginner and intermediate pilots who don't compromise on safety and comfort in flight. Like the Core, it features the new Permair technology for protection in the event of ground impact.
Structure of the Skywalk Cruise harness
The Skywalk Cruise is a harness designed for first-time paraglider pilots. It is also suitable for more experienced pilots who prefer to fly in a seated position. Made from 100D, 200D and 600D Nylon fabrics, its structure offers good abrasion resistance. With its carbon seatboard, it remains relatively light, weighing just 3.65 Kg in size M. The seat is comfortable and the surface makes it easy to get in and out of the harness on landing. What's more, you can make the harness more dynamic by unhooking the straps from the carabiners. However, the 2 green buckles attached to the carabiners must be retained.
Last but not least, a wide range of adjustments are available to ensure pleasure and comfort for every pilot morphology and flying style. These include shoulder straps, torso strap, seat and backrest inclination, andspeed-bar distance. In terms of protection, the Cruise features a Permair inflatable system under the seat, plus an SAS -TEC module to protect the back.
Cruise features
In addition to its comfortable, safe structure, the Cruise harness has a host of features to make life easier for pilots in flight or on the ground. It features numerous pockets, such as the rear zip pocket for a jacket or small equipment. It also includes the option of attaching a camelbak-type system for in-flight hydration. There's a pocket on the side for in-flight access, and a small one for storing the various permair inflation systems under the seat.
The shoulder strap can also accommodate a radio, thanks to a Velcro system. Last but not least, the Cruise is equipped with a Recco reflective system to improve the visibility of the harness, especially in forested areas.
Permair benefits
The Permair protection system combines the advantages of an airbag and a foam bag. In addition to saving weight and volume, it is permanently inflated once in flight, unlike an airbag. All you need to do before takeoff is use the small Skywalk electric pump or the mouthpiece. All you need to do is fly with peace of mind.
