Ventus: as free as the wind
Nova's Ventus harness is based on a new, modern design. With many well-thought-out details, it offers exceptional flying pleasure and high passive safety. In addition to its classic foam protection, the Ventus features viscoelastic back protection. Another safety highlight is the integrated reserve container. Its ergonomic design makes deployment particularly reliable. With its sporty look, ergonomic seat geometry and small packing volume, the Ventus will be your ideal companion for every flight.
High level of safety
The Ventus features foam protection with a particularly small packing volume (between 18 and 20 cm, size M). It covers the lumbar vertebrae and protects the pilot from the moment he steps into the harness. Despite its compressibility, the protection does not lose its shock-absorbing properties, even after years of use. The upper back also features additional protection. German company SAS-TEC. In the event of impact, the pressure of hard objects, such as stones or objects in the storage compartment, will be distributed over a larger surface area. This greatly reduces the risk of serious back injury.
The Ventus features an ergonomically optimized parachute container. Although the EN standard does not require a deployment test in different directions, Nova has chosen to carry out these tests in order to guarantee the reliability of its container. In principle, the parachute's release force should be between 2 and 7 daN. In addition, the use of significant stresses on the G-Force Trainer ensures even greater safety. As a result, the parachute will deploy reliably in any flight position, even in emergencies and under high "G" loads.
The Ventus offers comfort and practicality
The storage compartment features space for a soft water bottle and a pipette slot on the shoulder straps. This makes it easy for the pilot to stay hydrated even on long flights. The self-locking zip ensures that the storage compartment cannot be accidentally opened in flight. The included radio pocket can be attached to the shoulder strap in two positions. Additional zipped side pockets provide space for a cell phone, camera, first-aid kit, etc.
Well-designed components make this harness simple for beginners and exciting for experienced pilots. The Ventus is color-coded to match the Prion and Ibex risers. The main suspension points and buckles are green on the right side and red on the left. The seat angle, shoulder straps and chest strap can also be adjusted in flight.
Handling and sensations
The height of the suspension points has been optimized to make all Ventus sizes comfortable and stable in flight. Thanks to the honeycomb seatboard and optimized seat geometry, it reacts perfectly to weight transfer and provides direct feedback, even during dynamic maneuvers. The seat protector, manufactured by German company SAS-TEC, offers excellent back support. The soft Air Mesh backrest and central ventilation strip complete the seat's comfort. With the Ventus, long flights are relaxed and comfortable.
