Mirage RS version 2.0
It took the Swing development team two years to bring the new Mirage 2 RS into the world. Made up of seasoned pilots with a passion for speedflying and speedriding, they carried out meticulous R&D work to improve an already popular wing.
First of all, the lift has been significantly corrected. It sets a new performance record in terms of glide for a wing of this type. This is quite a feat, given that its predecessor was considered "extremely stiff". The speed range has also been significantly improved. It's a faster, more playful wing, even in more difficult conditions. However, Swing has not forgotten what made the first version such a success. It retains all the character and charm of the Mirage series, much to the delight of fans. It retains the feeling of safety inherent in this model.
Wing improvements
It's the new wing profile that accounts for the incredible progress of this new version. It is both more stable and more powerful. The Mirage 2 RS features a reinforced Nitinol leading edge combined with the new patented RAST system. The RAST system has been perfectly adapted to the wing. It also features new lightweight risers, equipped with Split-A Riser and a C-Bride. They offer maximum control of the wing in all circumstances, and precise steering in flight.
In conclusion, with its extended range and improved performance, without sacrificing the overall characteristics of the Mirage series, Swing has achieved its objective in developing the Mirage 2 RS!
The Pro version of the Mirage 2 RS is strictly reserved for use by members of Swing's Speedflying team. However, it can be ordered on the recommendation of one of the team pilots.
