Express wing repair with A4 Ripstop board
When paragliding regularly, it can happen that the fabric of the wing tears. This can be due to wear and tear caused by recurrent friction with the ground during inflation and landing. Or your last flight may have resulted in a tree crash, in which case the wing may be more or less damaged. To repair small tears, or to prevent them from getting bigger, the best solution, while waiting for a repair, is certainly ripstop.
Ripstop is an adhesive fabric, sometimes colored, made from the same materials as the wings, with a low grammage of between 45 and 70 g/m². It is glued to the tear, which has been cleaned to avoid any impurities that might cause the Ripstop to come unstuck.
Air et Aventure offers you a sheet of ripstop fabric pre-cut into multiple rounds and rectangles to accommodate any size tear. This optimizes the number of patches for a single sheet, as opposed to a single A4 sheet. Only available in transparent white.
