Skywalk's Core harness is the new ultimate string. Its lightweight design perfectly meets the high demands of mountaineers, hikers and walkers, with lightness, stability, intuition and comfort being the key factors in its development. In its Pure version, it weighs no more than 410 grams. The safety aspect is not overlooked either, as it features a modular structure. It can also be fitted with LTF 91/09-approved Permair protection. Weighing in at just 800 grams, the Core harness is the lightest thong with permanent protection on the market. It is specifically designed for racing, touring and flying athletes.

A modular string

The Core has a modular structure and is available in two versions. Thanks to its ultra-compact format, the Core is your ideal travel companion.
The Pure set accompanies you on fast hikes, flying tours or difficult climbing routes.
With the Permair module, in just a few simple steps, the Core becomes a set with complete protection.
What's more, the Permair version is ideally suited as a passenger harness for tandem flights.

The Core is intuitive

The Core dispenses with bulky buckles and adjustment straps.
Elastic shoulder straps adapt to your waist, ensure optimum fit during takeoff and rest comfortably on your shoulders in the air.
Marked red and blue seams on the belt loops improve overall visibility, while small Salewa strap guards prevent carabiners from twisting in the waist straps.
During flight, insulating foam throughout the seat and a PE board in the leg straps ensure an extremely comfortable and effective fit against the cold.

Minimalist harness

The Core package is ultra-compact in size. The ultralight thong is stored in a small, narrow pocket and can easily be accommodated in the smallest Hike & Fly backpack, such as Salewa Skywalk's Hike 2. One size covers heights from 1.65 to 1.95 meters.

Permair 2.0

The further development of the first generation of Permair protectors includes a practical inflation/deflation non-return valve that makes filling the module considerably easier. Permair 2.0 protectors can be inflated in several ways. In addition to the previously common variant with inflation bag and compression function, you now have the option of filling your protector in a minimalist way via the mouthpiece. The mouthpiece features a moisture filter to minimize the introduction of moisture and is included in the delivery of the Permair kit.

Core inflation bag

Filling with the inflator bag is the most common method. Simply connect the inflation bag to the protector valve and fill it with a downward pumping motion. You'll feel an increase in pressure in the inflation bag when the protector is completely filled. It is not possible to pump more air into the protector. The non-return valve ensures that no air escapes.

Mouthpiece

Connect the gray part of the mouthpiece to the valve. Make sure the HME filter (blue sponge) is in the mouthpiece and inflate the protector through the transparent opening. The protector is completely filled as soon as you feel a significant resistance to air pressure during inflation.
