Demand reliability and flying pleasure with the Fuse 3 tandem wing
Gin's Fuse 3 tandem wing is the result of improvements to the Fuse 2, one of Gin's most successful tandem wings. It is the perfect answer to the demands of professional pilots, offering reliability and efficiency in flight as well as excellent sensations.

The new benchmark in tandem flying
The Fuse 3 is the improved version of the Fuse 2, Gin's most successful tandem to date. It retains the basics of its predecessor, but makes adjustments to the control system and fabric quality. The innovative system of large ears makes it easier to grip and release, or even control with the brakes. The new fabric for the wing is the fruit of collaboration between GIN and Myungjin. It offers exceptional durability for a light weight.
Inflating, loading and flaring is smooth and easy. In flight, turn handling is much more precise and coordinated, while braking pressure is ultra-light. What's more, the Fuse 3 boasts excellent thermal bite.
As with the Fuse 2, the trim settings and wide weight range offer versatility for light pilots and passengers alike. The wing can also be flown solo.
Building on the success of the Fuse 2
The Fuse 3 succeeds in further improving on the success of the Fuse 2 with professional tandem pilots. Inflation is ever easier, and energy retention is excellent. It's still very maneuverable and precise thanks to its trim settings for even greater performance.
Durable, lightweight fabric
A tandem glider that spins all season needs to be durable. However, most pilots are now accustomed to the in-flight and on-ground advantages of lighter wings, so GIN has chosen to innovate by developing a new PU-based composite covering fabric in partnership with Korean fabric manufacturer Myungjin. After years of development and more than 2 years of field trials, this fabric has proved to be very strong despite its relatively light weight.
The Fuse 3's innovative large-ear system
Thanks to feedback from various professional tandem pilots in France, the Fuse 3 features a new large-ear system on the risers. This makes it much easier and quicker to pull and release the big ears. What's more, the pilot can still use the brakes to steer the glider, useful, for example, for glide control on higher landings.
Designer's notes
Test pilot Tim Bollinger explains the philosophy behind the Fuse 3:
The Fuse 2 has been our most successful tandem to date and has gained a large fan base in the professional tandem sector around the world, thanks to its ease of use and fun to fly. This made it really difficult for us to make this glider even better, especially as everyone was totally satisfied with the predecessor. But after a year of development and extensive testing in Korea, France and Switzerland, we were finally satisfied with the new Fuse 3.
As the new fabric is also lighter, the wing weighs 7.2 kg, making the Fuse 3 one of the lightest daily tandems on the market. This lightness makes the wing both compact on the ground and agile in the air.
Based on feedback from various professional tandem pilots in France, a new large-ear system on the risers is introduced. Now it's much easier and quicker to pull and release the big ears. In addition, the pilot can still use the brakes and steer the glider. This is particularly helpful on difficult top landings, as the glide ratio can be easily adjusted.
