Supair's Fluid Light Evo parachute is extremely lightweight. When it comes to hike & fly, paragliders are looking for the lightest possible equipment. Indeed, the walking phases are much more pleasant with a lighter load on the back. Supair came up with the idea of developing a rescue parachute perfectly suited to this practice. Whether you're a hike & fly expert or an occasional hiker, you'll always need a Fluid Light Evo with you, so you can walk with a light pack and fly with peace of mind!
The Fluid Light Evo rescue parachute is square-shaped. It offers a better sink rate than a round parachute of equivalent surface area, and greater stability. It is ideally suited to emergency situations in difficult terrain. Supair realized that extracting a rescue from a scree slope at 3000m altitude would not have the same potential consequences as an extraction from a field in the middle of a valley. The design team therefore decided not to compromise on pilot safety.
