The Sora 2 Plus: the evolution of the tandem glider
A dynamic, incisive two-seater
The Sora 2 Plus has been given a slightly airier, more dynamic look. A colored stripe on the bottom leading edge makes the new tandem more incisive. The wing is available in 3 colors, giving it a bolder look.The Sora 2 had inherited its own, more one-piece character. Incisive on roll and more intuitive during takeoff and landing, it was a pleasure to fly. Its successor is much more precise in turns than the Sora 1, thanks to its firmer control inputs. The new structure, combined with the use of Sharknose, makes for a glider that deforms less on the chord in thermals.
Sora 2 Plus gains in strength and solidity
A major new feature of Supair 's tandem glider: the attachment tabs. Made from a new braid, it was specially designed for Supair by a French company. It follows a strict aeronautical protocol, in line with Supair's specifications. These requirements have enabled us to achieve breakage values well beyond anything else on the market. Fracture tests require a minimum strength of 150 kg. This bracket is unique on the market. It isthe strongest available, easily identifiable by its color, white with a red border.
The load-bearing profiles are reinforced over 2/3 of the wing , starting from the center. A strip is positioned right in the line axis. It runs from the upper surface to the attachment tab (on the A, B and C models).
The NITINOL profile reinforcements, judiciously placed, guarantee the glider's stability and inflation behavior throughout its lifetime.
A lark's head fixes the strap that holds the friction ring, making it easy to replace the ring with a pulley .The Sora 2 Plus is supplied with both friction ring and pulley, allowing pilots to use the configuration of their choice. The friction ring is fitted as standard on the wing.
More precise piloting
Irreproachable on take-off and landing, the Sora 2 Plus offers precise, efficient turning. It has very little pitch oscillation in turbulent air, allowing the pilot to enjoy the flight and the passenger to appreciate the moment.
The successor to the SORA 1 had to retain the main qualities of its predecessor: ease of use, low weight and competitive performance. Mission accomplished for this new two-seater, since in addition to excellent handling and pleasant, efficient turning, the wing is easy to untangle, light and at the top of performance and speed.
The SORA 2 PLUS is also equipped with ergonomically optimizedrisers. The main hook loop is more distinct and the trim strap is marked on 4 different regimes.
