Alphatec's Noise Killer NK-A13 is highly effective on machines with noisy environments. It eliminates ambient noise (from -9dB to -35 dB). Based on the latest technology, the filter's efficiency is astounding. It also suppresses all the repetitive noises that can be found in the pilot's and passenger's environment (engine, propeller, wind, etc.), making all communications clear and relaxing (comfort and safety).
The diagrams below illustrate the digital treatment process, and the differentiation that this filter makes between ambient noise and speech.
It can be quickly activated or deactivated by a switch on the front panel of the IC-A13.
With the optional NKR-A13 cord, with encoder wheel flush-mounted on the dashboard, you can vary the intensity of the filter from 0 to 7, depending on the ambient noise of each device (without this remote control, the Noise Killer is set to the maximum: -35dB).
It is connected to the rear of the IC-A13.
