Lithium batteries are guaranteed for only 6 months against manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover misuse, incorrect charging techniques or improper storage of the batteries. Radios should be stored with the batteries fully charged, and if stored over a period of several months, should be recharged at least once a month.
