PLUG'n'FLY propellers are 100% carbon, light and strong, with an armored leading edge, dismountable and easy to assemble (in two interlocking parts).
They are the lightest and strongest propellers on the market.
Advantages of a PLUG'n'FLY propeller
LIGHTWEIGHT
- - Stronger propeller => Faster acceleration and deceleration of the motor (the propeller is more reactive, stopping much faster, so less risk of breakage in the event of propeller impact), less stored kinetic energy, so less damage in the event of impact.
- - Greater comfort for the pilot => less propeller weight on the back, less gyroscopic effort, less torque
- - Better powertrain operation => less stress on the gearbox, less vibration due to propeller operation
DEMONTABLE
- - For storage and transport
- - Extremely easy to assemble - disassemble
- - Simple, economical replacement of a single blade
PLUG'n'FLY propeller data sheet
- - weight: 600 g for a 125 cm two-blade model [soit environ 30% de moins qu'une hélice concurrente]
- - moment of inertia: approx. 500 kg.cm² [pour un modèle bipale de 125 cm]
- - 100% carbon blades with internal leading-edge shielding
- - specific design E-PROPS with hollow profiles (with more cz than a standard profile), for optimum thrust, fuel economy and reduced noise pollution
- - traceability: serial number on each blade (quality monitoring; rapid replacement when a single blade is damaged)
- - hourly and trigo models
- - blade root thickness: 28 mm
PLUG'n'FLY® blade construction
- - carbon braid with continuous fibers between lower and upper surface: no risk of blade explosion due to leading-edge delamination, unlike the traditional "half-shell" process
- - epoxy resin
- - honeycomb core with internal spar
- - rTM manufacturing process [Resin Transfer Molding]
- - internal blade shielding: resin injection at the leading edge with nanostructured additive with high kinetic energy absorption capacity (Nanostrength® : ARKEMA product)
PLUG'n'FLY propellers come with two references: a model number and a serial number.
This means they are fully traceable, from their components (carbon braid, epoxy resin, shielding additive), their precise manufacturing characteristics (T°, duration, etc.), to their finished weights and balancing.
This data is important for both the manufacturer and the end-user. If the end-user breaks a blade, he can order a replacement without having to send the propeller back for balancing: with only the reference of the broken blade, the E-Props propeller team sends the corresponding blade, which will be perfectly balanced with the undamaged blade.
