The perfect device for discovering wind forces
TheEole anemometer is designed by Skywatch. It can be used to measure instantaneous wind speed, average wind speed and maximum wind speed on industrial sites, seashores or take-off and landing fields.

Measure wind speed accurately with the Skywatch Eole anemometer
TheSkywatch Eole anemometer is a wind force measurement tool with a large 54 mm propeller. This multidirectional propeller enables extremely precise measurement without the need for perfect orientation in the wind axis. Larger and more robust than the other anemometers in the JDC range, it is the ideal tool for paragliders, kitesurfers and any other discipline where wind plays a major role. The Skywatch Eole is powered by two replaceable LR6 batteries. These provide several years' autonomy with regular use. Display is to the tenth of a unit up to 99.9, then to the unit. The aluminum base gives the device great strength, and the 1/4″ thread on the underside enables it to be attached to a photo tripod. Thus positioned, you can check the weather conditions at all times.
TheEole is unsinkable and waterproof. Even if it falls into the water, it won't sink and its components won't be damaged. What's more, the backlighting means it can be used even when daylight is fading. The protective cap extends the life of the propeller.
Why use an anemometer to measure wind speed?
Like temperature, wind speed is one of the most important weather data to know. Wind is an essential parameter for forecasting and understanding changes in weather conditions. Thanks to theanemometer, it is possible to measure these variations in speed and deduce future conditions.
Anemometers are used in a wide range of sectors, not just by weather services, such as air transport, where navigation is dependent on meteorological conditions and possible bad weather. This device is therefore essential to them. In certain sporting disciplines, such as paragliding or kite-surfing, measuring wind speed is also important.
However, an anemometer cannot be used to determine wind direction. To obtain this information, it must be coupled with a wind vane or a windsock.
Skywatch Eole features
The Skywatch Eole from JDC Electronic is easy to handle, thanks to its weight, size and side pad. It's also easy to read with its large display. It has a low battery indicator and can be used between -20° C and 70° C.
The Skywatch Eole is a propeller anemometer that displays instantaneous wind speed data over a measurement range of 2 to 150 km/h. It also includes the average speed calculated over a period of 3 seconds to 24 hours, as well as the maximum speed. Accuracy is excellent, with a margin of error of just +/- 3%. Measurement units are also modifiable and available in Km/h, mph, m/s, fps, knots and bft.
