The Flowatch flowmeter kit from JDC Electronic is an electronic instrument capable of measuring gas or liquid flows. Its rugged design ensures exceptional resistance, even under the most demanding conditions. Thanks to a range of templates and propeller types, it offers a measurement tool that adapts to any situation. Liquid measurement applications include river currents, irrigation channels,wastewater flows, tidal flows and hydrological studies. For gas or air measurement, it is used for air conditioning, ventilation ducts, natural gas and aerological studies.
The Flowatch flowmeter kit includes a basic kit and various optional items:
The basic kit includes theFlowatch flowmeter, which retrieves and displays fluid flow velocity data. Data displayed includes instantaneous velocity, maximum velocity and average velocity over a period of 3 seconds to 24 hours. Average and maximum values can be reset to zero.
The kit also includes a aluminum telescopic rod with a total length of 1.2m.. Propellers can be attached to this rod for measurements in hard-to-reach ventilation tubes or deep in rivers. A shorter, 10 cm-long support rod is available as an option. It can be used with various propellers and as an anemometer.
Next, the kit contains a set of 2 air and water propellers. First, a 20 mm diameter air or gas propeller. With a minimum sensitivity of less than 3km/h - < 1m/s - and an accuracy of ±2%, this propeller is ideal for measuring gas flows. The margin of error is nevertheless 3% for an "error-off axis" of ±30°, i.e. if the device is not held in a vertical position. It can withstand temperatures ranging from -50°C to +100°C. The second propeller is a 60 mm diameter water propeller. It has a minimum sensitivity of < 0.3km/h - < 0.1m/ and an accuracy of ±2%. Its "off-axis" error is 3% for an inclination of ±20°. An optional 18mm diameter air or gas propeller with ±2% accuracy and ±10°/±3% off-axis error is also available. It can withstand temperatures ranging from -50°C to 100°C. A weighted probe with 15 m cable is also available as an option.
Two versions of the Flowatch kit are available for storage purposes: On the one hand, a hard-wearing Cordura fabric bag. It's very light, weighing in at just 900 g. Alternatively, the kit can be supplied in an aluminum case. Sturdier than the bag, it's also heavier, weighing in at 2.8 kg.
