Vantage 3 Gin: lightness for paramotoring
The new Gin Vantage3 is the perfect wing for combining paragliding and paramotoring. This lightweight wing is no less durable. It's easy and fun to fly. Perfect for bivouac, travel and leisure flying. The Vantage 3 can be used by both beginner and intermediate pilots.
Features
Compared with a conventional paramotor wing, the Vantage 3 has several advantages. It's compact and lightweight, making it easy to transport and ideal for bivouac flights and travel. Its easy inflation allows you to take off quickly. The choice of materials has been optimized to achieve the best ratio of ageing to lightness. Finally, the Vantage 3 is perfectly suited for use with lightweight trikes.
The intelligent mix of fabrics makes the Vantage 3 both light and durable. In the most sensitive areas, the same fabric is used as for classic sails, while in less critical areas such as the upper surface, a lighter (but durable) fabric is used.
The Vantage3 has more high lines for greater stability. Nevertheless, total line consumption is minimized through better optimization of the layout. The riser construction offers a mix of performance and simplicity.
A note from the Vantage 3 designers
Test pilot Laurent Salinas explains the philosophy behind the Vantage 3
"Our goal with Matt Minyard (USA) was to bring the advantages of lightweight paragliders to beginner and intermediate paramotor pilots, especially those looking to practice paragliding and paramotoring with the same wing."
We felt it was important to create a wing that was ultra-easy to inflate and launch. The glider's light weight greatly aids the use of lightweight trikes. It's also ideal for bivouac flying. We trimmed the wing to achieve a good mix of safety and handling. The short risers help a lot in this respect, and speed increases are easy to manage. The speed increase is provided by both the trimmers (40%) and thespeed-bar (60%); you can use the full braking range in all flight configurations (speed arms up, trimmers open and/or accelerated). We've also significantly reduced the torque effect compared to the Vantage 2. All in all, this wing gave us a lot of pleasure during its development, and we're convinced it will have the same effect on you.
